A suspect charged and wanted in the death of a woman at 7728 West Gulf Bank Road about 9 p.m. on May 6 is now in custody.
The suspect, Marquise Rochard Glasper, 37, is charged with murder, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and tampering with evidence – human corpse in the 176th State District Court.
A booking photo of Glasper is attached to this news release.
The body of the victim, Crystal Lynch, 35, has not been located.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Hale and K. Amri reported:
Ms. Lynch was reported missing on May 7 and was last known to be seen the previous night with her husband, Glasper, in their apartment at the above address. A witness told investigators Glasper found out Lynch had an affair with another man and had made past comments he would harm her if he ever found out about an affair.
During the course of the investigation, a search was done on Lynch’s vehicle, where investigators observed possible blood in multiple areas. A search was also done on the couple’s apartment and it appeared someone tried to clean up a crime scene.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was consulted and Glasper was subsequently charged.
On Saturday (November 25), Glasper was located and arrested by officers with the HPD SWAT team without incident and booked into the Harris County Jail.
