2ND UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in January Fatal Stabbing at 921 Skyline Vista

A suspect wanted and charged in the fatal stabbing of a man at 921 Skyline Vista about 9:40 p.m. on January 27 is in custody in Houston following his arrest in California.

The suspect, William Angle, 45, is charged with murder in the 208th State District Court. A booking photo of Angle is attached to this news release.

He is accused in the death of George Wendell Jackson, Jr., 31.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:

Mr. Jackson was visiting a friend at an apartment at the above address when he was stabbed by a known suspect. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Jackson to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Further investigation and witness statements identified Angle as the suspect in this case.  The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was consulted and, on February 7, Angle was charged for his role in the incident.

Further investigation led to Angle’s arrest on May 12 by officers with the Gardena Police Department in Gardena, California.  Angle confessed to his role in the stabbing, was extradited back to Houston and booked into the Harris County jail on June 20.
