A suspect sought in the fatal shooting of a juvenile male at 12700 Glenhollow about 10:10 p.m. on Sunday (February 3) is now in custody.
The male suspect, 15, was arrested today (February 7) without incident. One other juvenile suspect, 15, was arrested on Wednesday (February 6). Both suspects have been referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on charges of murder and aggravated robbery.
The deceased juvenile male is identified as Sterling Webb,16.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Meek and J. Horn reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found a juvenile male with a gunshot wound in the middle of the street. He was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. A second male, 23, was later transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition.
A preliminary investigation determined three juveniles, including the deceased victim, had attempted to rob the male. During the robbery attempt, one of the juveniles was shot and the 23-year-old male was assaulted. That adult male managed to drive to another location where paramedics were then called.
Further investigation developed information on the identities of the juvenile suspects. One was taken into custody on Wednesday (February 6) at a relative’s home. The second juvenile was arrested today (February 7).
