2nd UPDATE: Second Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 902 Woolworth Street

Charges have been filed against a second suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 902 Woolworth Street about 1 a.m. on March 20.

The suspect, Jose Garza, 18, is charged with tampering with evidence in the 174th State District Court.  Another suspect, Alfonso Gonzalez, 18, is charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the 184th State District Court. Booking photos of both suspects are attached to this news release.

The victim, Dominic Partida, 17, was pronounced deceased at Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Kauffman and A. Ferrell reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address.  Upon arrival, they found Mr. Partida, who had been shot in the chest, near his home.  He was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to to the hospital where he died.

An initial investigation identified Gonzalez as a suspect and, on April 11, he was arrested without incident and charged for his role in the shooting.

Further investigation identified Garza as a second suspect in this case.  Garza was arrested last Friday (April 15) without incident and subsequently charged for his role in the shooting.
