Houston police are asking for the public’s help in locating three persons of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man at 4500 Pershing Street about 9:45 p.m. on February 3.
Two persons of interest are identified as Demetrius Jackson, 19, and a juvenile male, 15.
A third person of interest, described only as a black male in his late teens or 20s, is also being sought for questioning. Photos of Jackson and the unidentified person of interest are attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Adam Broomfield, 33.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a gas station at 7401 Cullen Boulevard and found an unresponsive male with a gunshot wound in the parking lot. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the man, later identified as Mr. Broomfield, to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Evidence determined Broomfield was shot by an unknown suspect(s) in the 4500 block of Pershing Street The suspect(s) was seen in a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck with Minnesota license plates LBD-112.
A preliminary investigation initially identified four individuals as persons of interest wanted for questioning, two of whom have been identified as Jackson and the juvenile. The third male remains unidentified. The fourth person, described only as a black female, is no longer being sought.
