Houston police have released additional surveillance photos of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a male and the wounding of a female at 1000 Webster Street about 2:55 a.m. on September 27.
Additional photos of the suspect seen inside a convenience store are attached to this news release. He is described only as a black male wearing a red shirt and driving a 2019 white Chevrolet Impala. A photo of the vehicle is also attached to this news release.
The male victim is identified as Adrian Johnson, 53. The female victim, 55, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives H. Horne and J. Campbell reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found the victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Mr. Johnson was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The female victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the back.
Further investigation determined a male suspect fired multiple gunshots into a vehicle, striking two of the three persons inside. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Investigators no longer believe a second vehicle, initially described as a black Dodge Durango, drove past and fired additional gunshots into the victims’ vehicle.
