WHAT: 2-Alarm Strip Center Fire

DAMAGE: $80,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the side of a strip center and forced entry with heavy fire found. A second alarm was requested, and crews controlled the fire within about 40 minutes. They checked the nearby businesses for extension and ventilated the smoke from the building. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. HPD was requested for traffic control. Firefighters from Stations 60, 69, 2, 15, 5, 28, 68, 83, 10, 49, 69, 83, 21, 51, 8, 37, 24, 57 and Rehab 17 responded to this incident.
