| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 5600 Oriole Street about 5 p.m. last Friday (June 28).
The identity of the deceased male, 57, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer K. Stout reported:
The male was a passenger in a blue Toyota Tacoma pickup truck traveling westbound near the above address when it is believed the driver suffered a medical episode. The pickup truck veered off the street, struck a carport and a then a tree.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the male driver, 24, and the male passenger to an area hospital, where the passenger was later pronounced deceased.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
