WHAT: House fire.

INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $125,000 in estimated property / content damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (heat source too close to combustible).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from a detached garage of a 1-story house. The fire was spreading to the home through a connected breezeway. Crews made an offensive attack and extinguished the fire in the attic. A primary search was completed, and the utilities were secured. The home had minimal damage; however, the garage was a total loss. The homeowner stated he was burning weeds around his garage. 41 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 13, 4, 5, 49, 57, 77, 66, 50 and 75.
