WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: June 6, 2024, at 6:14 p.m.
WHERE: 2200 block of Popular Park Ct. 77339.
INJURIES: One civilian with a minor injury, treated on scene.
PROPERTY SAVED: $260,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $80,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from a house and made an offensive attack. Burning was reported from the gas meter, and it was shut off. A primary search was completed, and the home was ventilated. They pulled the siding from the house to fully extinguish the fire and requested HFD Arson investigators to determine the cause and origin. 33 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 15, 64, 102, 103, 104, 101 and the Porter Fire Department.
