UPDATE: Wanted Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting at 9610 West Sam Houston Parkway South in Custody

A suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a woman at 9610 West Sam Houston Parkway South (Beltway 8) about 10:10 a.m. last Friday (May 19) is now in custody.

Felipe Martinez-Molina, 19, is charged with murder in the 179th State District Court. A current booking photo of Martinez-Molina, who is currently at-large, is attached to this news release.

He is accused in the death of Candeese Jenkins, 23.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective L. Lange reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a business at the above address and located the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the front office of the business. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

Further investigation identified Martinez-Molina as the suspect in this case. On Saturday (May 20) he was charged for his role in the fatal shooting.

On Monday (May 22), Martinez-Molina was located and arrested by members of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force without incident.
