Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 4045 Linkwood Drive about 12:50 a.m. on February 23, 2021.
The suspects, Ronnie Davontay Scott, 27, and Nichole Clarke-Crocker, 21, are charged with capital murder in the 185th State District Court. Booking photos of both suspects are attached to this news release.
They are accused for their roles in the killing of Donnie Glover, 24.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Meek and A. Lopez and Detectives N. Sharp and S. Overstreet reported:
Mr. Glover called 911 to report that suspects were trying to steal his vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot at the above address. The call-taker then heard gunshots. HPD patrol officers responded to the scene and found Glover deceased in the back of the complex.
A witness heard two gunshots, went outside, and heard two more gunshots. The witness then observed a black male, dressed in all-black clothing, running from the scene. Another witness saw a male run into the passenger side of a red vehicle and flee the scene.
Further investigation led to charges being filed on Crocker on May 25. She was in jail on an unrelated charge. On June 15, an arrest warrant was issued and charges were filed against Scott. He was arrested on Thursday (June 23) without incident. Scott was out on bond for two aggravated robbery charges prior to his arrest.
