UPDATE: Suspects Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 8801 Glencrest Street

Charges have been filed against four suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 8801 Glencrest Street that occurred about 10 p.m. on September 21.  

One suspect, Josue Climaco (H/m 18) is charged with capital murder in the 262nd State District Court.  A second suspect, Andres Lopez (H/m, 17), is charged with capital murder in the 183rd State District Court.  Two other suspects, a juvenile male and a juvenile female, both 16, were referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on capital murder charges. Booking photos of Climaco and Lopez are attached to this news release.   

All four suspects are accused in the death of Raul Yamamoto, 38.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective L. Lange reported:

HPD officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found Mr. Yamamoto inside an abandoned apartment.  He had been shot multiple times and responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced Yamamoto deceased.

A preliminary investigation determined Yamamoto was lured to the apartment complex via social media.  Upon arrival, Yamamoto was ambushed by four suspects who robbed him at gunpoint.  Yamamoto was then shot and killed.

Further investigation identified Climaco, Lopez and the two juveniles as suspects in this case.  On Monday (October 18) the juvenile female was taken into custody without incident. The juvenile male was arrested on Tuesday (October 19).  Lopez and Climaco were then taken into custody on Thursday (October 21) without incident.

All four suspects were subsequently charged for their roles in the incident.
