Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of two women and a juvenile male at 3409 Cavalcade Street about 2:10 a.m. on December 14.

The suspect, Darryl Anderson, 35, is charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 174th State District Court.

The victims, Kiana Harris, 24, and Khalyn Harris, 22, and the juvenile, 16, were transported by private auto to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives G. Black and I. Rios-Hernandez reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a welfare check at an area hospital.  Upon arrival, they learned the women had been involved in a physical altercation with an unknown suspect in the parking lot of a club at the above address.  During the altercation, an unknown suspect shot into the air, causing everyone to flee.

The women and juvenile got into a silver SUV parked at the back of the business.  As Ms. Kiana Harris drove out of the parking lot, an unknown suspect shot at the SUV multiple times, striking Harris and the passengers, Ms. Khalyn Harris and the juvenile.  Kiana Harris then drove them to the hospital.

Further investigation identified Anderson as the suspect in this case and he was subsequently charged for his role in the shooting.
