UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in 2018 Fatal Stabbing at 3409 Cavalcade

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man at 3409 Cavalcade about 2 a.m. on November 27, 2018.

The suspect, Felix Terriel Esset (b/m, 46), is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court.  He is accused in the death of James Taylor, 72, who died at St. Joseph’s Medical Center.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective J. Roscoe reported:

Two employees of a nightclub at the above address got into a dispute over fees paid to park cars outside the club.  One employee then stabbed the other..  The victim (Mr. Taylor) was transported by HFD paramedics to St Joseph’s Medical Center, where doctors pronounced him deceased on December 2.  Esset was detained at the scene and, following a preliminary investigation, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Further investigation and an autopsy conducted by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences determined Taylor’s cause of death and charges were upgraded to murder today (June 5).
