Suspects Arrested, Charged in Shooting Incident at 4401 Davenport

Charges have been filed against three suspects arrested in the shooting of a man that occurred at 4401 Davenport about 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday (February 6).

Two suspects, Jonathan Dewitt (b/m, 17) and Trevion Skinner (b/m, 19), are charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 184th State District Court.  The other suspect, Avery Bass (b/m, 27), is charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon in Harris County Criminal Court #4.

The victim, David Bonilla, 26, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives R. Naughton and V. Habukiha reported:

A group of people had gathered for a birthday party at the above address.  The three suspects repeatedly circled the residence in a silver-colored Chevrolet Malibu before stopping.  Dewitt exited the vehicle, driven by Skinner, and shot Mr. Bonilla before fleeing the scene.

Houston police officers located the Malibu, initiated a traffic stop, and took all three suspects into custody.
