Suspect Charged, Wanted in Man’s 2017 Death at 12425 Chimney Rock

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the death of a man at 12425 Chimney Rock about 3:50 p.m. on January 12, 2017.

The suspect, Juan Aguilus (H/m, 67), is charged with murder in the 182nd State District Court.  He is accused in the death of Rosalio Espino-Sandoval, 66, who suffered blunt force trauma to the head.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Rhodes and Detective K. Clark reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to an assault call at a moving and storage business at the above address and found an employee (Mr. Espino-Sandoval) had been assaulted and transported by HFD paramedics to Memorial Hermann Hospital.  A preliminary investigation determined Espino-Sandoval was assaulted by another employee with a crowbar, who then fled the scene and was not located.  Doctors pronounced Espino-Sandoval deceased on March 30, 2017.

Further investigation identified Juan Aguilus as the suspect in this case and he was charged on Wednesday (May 23).  Anyone with information on his whereabouts  is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
