Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 4004 Irvington Boulevard

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of two women at 4004 Irvington Boulevard about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 24).

The suspect, Reginald Torres, 20, is charged with murder in the 248th State District Court.  He is not in custody.  A photo of Torres is attached to this news release.

The identity of the deceased victim, 22, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  The two female victims, 18 and 22 years of age, were treated at area hospitals and released.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Sharp and E. May reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call at the apartment complex at the above address and found a male victim unresponsive.  He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.  Two other gunshot victims were also located.  Paramedics transported all three victims to a hospital where the male victim was pronounced deceased.

Further investigation led to the identity of the suspect as Torres.  He was subsequently charged and is wanted at this time.
