A suspect is charged in a fatal crash that killed one child and injured another at 12200 Mykawa about 5:10 a.m. on Saturday (November 9).
Cristal Gonzalez (H/f, 26), is charged with murder and intoxication assault in the 208th State District Court. A photo of Gonzalez is not available at this time.
Gonzalez’s son, 3, was transported to Southeast Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Her other son, 8, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with a broken leg.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer E. Morgado reported:
Gonzalez was driving a black Toyota Camry northbound on Mykawa when she drove onto a raised concrete and grassy median and struck a concrete barrier. Both her sons were injured and transported to the hospital. Gonzalez was also transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. She was subsequently charged in this incident.
