Suspect Arrested, Charged in Stabbing at 2828 Bostic Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a woman at 2828 Bostic Street about 9:55 p.m. on Saturday (October 22).  

The suspect, Robinson Hernandez Cruz, 35, is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 232nd State District Court.

The victim, 28, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective B. Salazar reported:

HPD patrol officers were dispatched to 4412 North Freeway and found the victim, suspect Cruz and their four children in the parking lot of a store.  Suspect Cruz told officers the victim had been stabbed by a person trying to steal his truck and had driven them to the North Freeway location.  Officers observed the victim had multiple stab wounds on her back and side.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital.  While at the hospital, statements made by the victim and her children indicated Cruz had stabbed her.

Further investigation indicated the stabbing occurred at a residence at 2828 Bostic Street.  HPD patrol officers at the scene recovered a knife possibly used in the stabbing.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was consulted and Cruz was subsequently arrested and charged for his role in the incident.
