Suspect Arrested, Charged in Stabbing at 11490 Harwin Drive

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a man at 11490 Harwin Drive #914 about 2:40 p.m. on November 18.

The suspect, Pablo Olivares-Gomez (H/m, 20), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 179th State District Court.  He is accused in the stabbing of Michael Smith, 39, who was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer C. Johnson reported:

Mr. Smith, who lives at the above address, got into an argument with a friend, later identified as Olivares-Gomez.  During the argument, Smith was stabbed multiple times in the stomach, left arm and back. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Smith to the hospital.

Further investigation determined Olivares-Gomez was transported to an area hospital by private vehicle.  Investigators interviewed Olivares-Gomez, who admitted to his role in the incident.  He was subsequently arrested and charged.
