Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting at 9001 South Braeswood Drive

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 9001 South Braeswood Drive about 2:25 a.m. on Saturday (November 7).

The suspect, Brandon Osborn (w/m, 30), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 177th State District Court.  He is accused in the shooting of Douglas Tolon, 30, who was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers V. Habukiha and B. Godoy reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found Mr. Tolon with a gunshot wound to the face.  Paramedics responded to the scene and transported Tolon to the hospital.

Further investigation and witness statements determined Tolon and Osborn got into an argument when a gun was produced by Osborn.  Osborn fired the weapon once, striking Tolon in the face. Osborn was taken into custody at the scene and subsequently charged for his role in the shooting.
