Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting at 13306 Cullen Boulevard

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 13306 Cullen Boulevard about 10:20 p.m. on Monday (June 27).

The suspect, Cedric Tyree Boudreaux, 22, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence in the 263rd State District Court.  He is accused in the shooting of Christian Graves, 26, who was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives Z. Brumley and J. Cimeni reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a gas station at the above address.  A preliminary investigation determined Mr. Graves was about to drive away form the location when he was confronted by Boudreaux.  Both men got into a verbal altercation and Boudreaux struck Graves in the face.

Shortly after, an unknown passenger in Graves’ vehicle displayed a firearm.  Boudreaux retreated , but retrieved a firearm and fired multiple shots at Graves and the other persons in the vehicle as they drove away.  Graves was struck in both thighs and the forearm and was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to the hospital.

Boudreaux fled the scene immediately after the shooting, but returned a short time later and was detained by responding HPD officers.  Boudreaux was questioned by investigators and admitted to his role in the shooting and to getting rid of the firearm.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was consulted and Boudreaux was subsequently charged for his role in the incident.
