Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 10110 Club Creek

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a man that occurred at 10110 Club Creek about 10:40 p.m. on Saturday (May 5).

The suspect, Josue David Celis-Maltes (H/m, 38), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 179th State District Court.  A photo of Celis-Maltes is not available at this time.

The victim, Walter Rubino, 29, was transported to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults Unit Officers L. Kauffman and C. Bowling reported:

HPD patrol officers observed Mr. Rubio with a stab wound to the chest.  Witnesses identified a possible suspect (Celis-Maltes) and officers located him in his vehicle near his residence.  He was arrested without incident.  Celis-Maltes was also found to have outstanding warrants for murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
