Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 1511 Baggett Lane

A suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a female and male and the wounding of two males at 1511 Baggett Lane about 9 p.m. on Thursday (Nov. 24) was arrested in San Antonio.

Yonetsy Montiel Granado, 38, is charged with two counts of capital murder and two counts of aggravated assault in the 230th State District Court. A booking photo, courtesy of Bexar County Jail, is attached to this news release.

The identities of the deceased female, 38, and deceased male, 64, are pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Science. Two victims, 15 and 32, were both transported to area hospitals.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Brady and Detectives J. Flores and D. Hobson reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a residence at the above address and found the four victims. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the female and male deceased at the scene. The other two victims were transported to area hospitals in stable condition.

Witnesses stated Granado had entered the residence and began shooting. He then fled the scene. On Friday (Nov. 25), he turned himself in at a police station in San Antonio, TX.

Currently, the Houston Police Department does not believe there is a continuous threat to the public.
