Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 10407 Shadow Oaks Drive

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 10407 Shadow Oaks Drive about 10:45 a.m. on Monday (April 18).  

The suspect, Jesus Alberto-Garcia, 20, is charged with murder in the 208th State District Court.  A booking photo of Alberto-Garcia is attached to this news release.

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective J. Roscoe reported:

The victim and Alberto-Garcia got into a verbal altercation in front of a convenience store at the above address.  During the confrontation, Alberto-Garcia pulled out a gun and shot the victim.  Paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

HPD patrol officers responded to the scene and arrested Alberto-Garcia without further incident.  Alberto-Garcia was subsequently charged for his role in the incident.
