Suspect Arrested, Charged in Assault at 7934 Dawnridge Drive

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the assault of a woman at 7934 Dawnridge Drive about 8:05 a.m. on Monday (December 12).  

The suspect, Charles Lamberth, Jr., 40, is charged with aggravated assault – serious bodily injury in the 230th State District Court.  A booking photo of Lamberth is attached to this news release.

The victim, 44, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives S. Buchanan and D. Polite reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to an assault call at the above address and found the victim had suffered severe injuries.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported her to an area hospital.  One possible suspect, later identified as Thomas, was detained at the scene.

Further investigation and evidence from the scene indicated Thomas was the suspect responsible for the woman’s injuries.  The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and Thomas was arrested and subsequently charged in the incident.
