Houston police are awaiting forensic test results on skeletal remains found at 9600 North Green River Drive about 2:05 p.m. on Wednesday (April 7).
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Cass and Detective K. Heaverlo reported:
Officers were dispatched to a park at the above address and found what appeared to be skeletal remains in a field. Officers notified homicide investigators and personnel with the Anthropology Division of the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. Detectives and an anthropologist made the scene and confirmed a bone found at the location was a human femur.
Volunteers with Texas EquuSearch Mounted Search & Recovery were notified and plan to search the area today (April 8).
