Houston police are investigating a the shooting of two men that occurred at 5701 Gardendale about 8:45 p.m. on Monday (July 30).
The victims, Richard Batiste, 50, and David Smith, 40, suffered non-life-threatening wounds.
HPD Major Assault & Family Violence Division Officers A. Le and J. Russell reported:
Mr. Batiste and Mr. Smith were under an apartment carport when three unknown suspects, described only as young black males, came around the corner. The three suspects stated “get some” and began shooting at Batiste and Smith. The suspects then fled the scene.
There is no known motive for the shooting.
