The shooting of a man that occurred at 9202 Grannis Street about 5:25 a.m. today (Sept. 27) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The suspect, 25, was transported to HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division T. Johnson reported:
A female was inside her residence at the above address when the suspect attempted to kick in the front door. The suspect was unable to get the door open and broke a window to enter the residence. The suspect then lunged at the female. The female, in fear of her safety, shot the suspect more than one time.
The investigation is continuing.
