Houston police are investigating the shooting of a woman at 8501 Broadway Street about 9:25 a.m. today (July 10).
The victim, Jayla Mesha Edmond, 20, was transported to an area hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening wounds.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives J. De La Torre and A. Carroll reported:
HPD patrol officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the above address. Upon arrival, they found Ms. Edmond had been shot just outside her apartment by an unknown white or Hispanic male and an unknown white or Hispanic female. The suspects fled in a dark-colored Volkswagen Golf and remain at large.
