Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 8256 Leonora Street that occurred at 6:55 p.m. on Wednesday (March 17).
The victim, Daniel Escobedo, 30, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers L. Thornton and H. Martinez reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a business at the above address and found Mr. Escobedo had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to an area hospital. Witnesses stated Escobedo was walking to a local corner store when three unknown suspects, who were in front of the store, began arguing with Escobedo. One of the suspects pulled a gun and shot Escobedo more than one time. The suspects then fled on foot toward Bellfort Avenue.
