Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile at 7755 West Bellfort that occurred about 3:25 p.m. on Tuesday (August 3).
The female child, 7, was transported to Texas Children’s Hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers t L. Thornton and J. Kimbrough reported:
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the parking lot of the above address where the child had been struck in the eye with an unknown object. She was transported to the hospital for medical treatment where it was determined she had sustained a gunshot wound to the eye. HPD investigators were called to the hospital and met with the child’s family member and returned to the location where the child was injured.
At this time there is no known motive or suspect(s).
