Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 5887 Westheimer Road about 12:30 p.m. on Sunday (Sept. 13).
The victim, 29, was transported to an area hospital to undergo surgery for his wound.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives L. Kauffman and C. Bowling reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call and were advised there was a fight inside the bar at the above address in which all individuals involved were asked to leave. An altercation then occurred in the parking lot of the bar and escalated when a suspect inside a black vehicle fired shots and struck the victim in the hip. The suspects fled the scene. Paramedics were called and transported the victim to the hospital.
