Investigation into Shooting at 500 Neyland Street

Houston police are investigating the shooting of two men that occurred at 500 Neyland Street about 5:50 p.m. on Thursday (October 8).

The victims, both 32, were transported to an area hospital where doctors expect them to survive.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers J. Kimbrough and A. Barker reported:

The victims were standing on the street near their vehicle at the above address when a black, four-door vehicle approached them.  Unknown suspects then stated “Happy birthday” and fired shots at both victims.  Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victims to the hospital.

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
