Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 4114 Lockwood Drive about 12:50 p.m. on Sunday (March 7).
The victim, Mark Witherspoon, 38, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer J. Cimeni reported:
Witnesses stated Mr. Witherspoon was speaking with the suspect, described only as a black male, who was sitting in a vehicle at a car wash stall at the above address. The suspect got out of the vehicle armed with two guns and began struggling with Witherspoon. During the altercation, Witherspoon was shot twice in the groin. The unknown suspect fled the scene and Witherspoon was transported to the hospital.
Witnesses reported the dispute may have been over a woman.
