Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 12300 Woodforest Boulevard that occurred about 7:20 p.m. on Monday (Sept. 28).
The victim, Michael Carter, 28, was transported to an area hospital.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer A. Huerta reported:
Mr. Carter was riding his bicycle westbound at the above address when a truck, also traveling westbound, pulled alongside him. The driver of the truck fired several shots at Carter, striking him once. Carter then rode his bicycle to his residence and called 9-1-1. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital in stable condition.
The unknown suspect fled the scene in a black pickup truck.
