Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile female that occurred at 10110 Westview Drive about 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday (March 8).
The victim, 14, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives C. Johnson and I. Rios-Hernandez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment at the above address. They found a female juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was sleeping in her bedroom when the shooting occurred. Investigators learned an unknown suspect drove by in an unknown vehicle and shot at the building, striking two apartments. No other persons were injured.
At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
