Houston police have learned the identity of a man found deceased in Brays Bayou at 5000 Texas Spur 5 about 9:15 a.m. last Friday (May 12).
The man is identified as Miguel Calzada, 23.
HPD Homicide Division Detective R. Rivera reported:
As members of the HPD and HFD Dive Teams were searching for the body of a man who went missing on May 10, officers were notified of a body in the bayou at the above address.
The body was recovered and matched the description of a man who entered the bayou to rescue two juveniles earlier in the week. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences conducted an autopsy and positively identified the man as Mr. Calzada and ruled the cause of death as drowning.
