Investigation into Male Found Deceased at 1300 Redford Street

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male found at 1300 Redford Street about 4:50 p.m. on Monday (Oct. 3).

The identity of the male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detective L. Osborn reported:

Employees at the apartment complex at the above address noticed a foul odor and flies near the door of an apartment.  Officers were called and gained entry to the apartment.  During a search of the apartment, a male’s decomposed body was found wrapped in blankets, inside a closet.

An autopsy will be conducted to help determine the male’s identity, cause and manner of death.
