Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 4400 Memorial Drive about 11:35 p.m. on Sunday (July 15).
The victim, Derek William Stange, 59, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Turner and Senior Police Officer B. Evans reported:
A resident walking down a corridor of the Bayou Park Apartments observed an apartment door open and unsecured. The resident knocked, and upon receiving no response, looked inside. He then saw Mr. Stange lying unresponsive. The resident then called 9-1-1- to request Houston Fire Department paramedics and HPD officers.
There is no known suspect nor motive in this incident.
