Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile female at 89 Casa Grande about 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 12).
The identity of the victim, 16, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Daignault and C. Duncan reported:
The victim was shot as she was walking along the street at the above address. A caller stated a male suspect shot the victim and then fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.
Paramedics transported the victim to Houston Northwest Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
