Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 8800 Airport Boulevard about 7 a.m. on Wednesday (July 8).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Olive and Detective S. Sylvester reported:
About 6:30 a.m., five unknown suspects made entry into the doorway of the victim’s motel room at the above address and began firing shots into the room. The occupants inside the room returned fire and the suspects fled the scene.
At some point, the occupants in the room also fled the scene.
Officers discovered the victim unresponsive in the room. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
