Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of a woman at 8015 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) about 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday (March 31).
The male victim, 25, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The female victim, 26, was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. Horn and R. Olive and Detectives T. Andrade and S. Sylvester reported:
HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics were dispatched to a shooting call at a gas station at the above address. Upon arrival, they found the woman, who had been shot multiple times. She told responding officers her boyfriend had also been shot. He was located deceased in the passenger seat of a sedan.
Before being transported to the hospital, the woman told officers the couple was supposed to meet someone in the area. When they arrived, someone in a maroon or black-colored SUV began shooting at them. The suspects are described only as two black males.
