Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of a woman that occurred at 7900 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) service road about 3:15 a.m. today (April 29).
The male victim, Kendrick Monroe, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene. The female victim was transported to an area hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening wounds.
HPD Homicide Sergeants J. Horn, B. Elsbury and Detectives K. McDonald and D. Arnold reported:
HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a reported shooting at the above address and found Mr. Monroe deceased in the driver’s seat of a white Dodge Charger. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The female victim, a front seat passenger, had been shot in the left leg.
At this time, there are no known suspects in this incident.
