Houston police are investigating the apparent fatal shooting of a man at 7408 South Sam Houston Parkway West about 12:50 p.m. on Saturday(March 5).
The victim is identified as Phillip Joseph Rogers, 42.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Heaverlo and A. Dudley reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a business parking lot at the above address and found Mr. Rogers in the driver’s seat of a truck, suffering from possible gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced Rogers deceased at the scene. An autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences will determine his cause of death.
At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
HPD does not believe there is a continuous threat to the general public.
