Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male that occurred at 7298 Wheatley Street about 1:40 a.m. on Saturday (June 20).
The identity of the victim, 17, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective M. Arrington reported:
The victim was walking northbound on Wheatley Street with three other young adults when a suspect(s) in a vehicle drove by and shot at the males. The victim was struck and transported to Houston Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The suspect’s vehicle is described only as a black sedan, possibly a Toyota.
