Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6275 West Airport Boulevard

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 6275 West Airport Boulevard about 7:40 p.m. on Monday (June 20). 

The identity of the victim, 22, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Smith and Detective M. Estep reported:

The victim was in the parking lot of a convenience store at the above address and was walking to his vehicle near one of the gas pumps.  As he approached his vehicle, the victim was shot multiple times by a the right rear passenger of a vehicle parked nearby.  The suspect vehicle then fled the location but returned a short time later and fired additional shots into the parking lot toward the victim.

Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.

The suspect vehicle is described only as a black, newer model, four-door midsize SUV.
