The fatal shooting of a man at 6023 Glenhurst Drive about 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday (June 8) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective S. Overstreet reported:
The homeowner of the above address stated a male, who he has known for years, has been living at the residence for the past year. Late Tuesday evening, the male kicked in the front door. The homeowner told the male multiple times to leave the residence, without success. According to the homeowner, while in the hallway, the male approached him in a threatening manner. At that time, the homeowner said he shot the male. Paramedics pronounced the male deceased.
Following consultation with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, the decision was made to refer the case to a grand jury.
