Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man who was found at 5900 Southwell about 11:10 p.m. on Tuesday (March 12).
The victim, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives S. Overstreet and E. Aguilera reported:
The victim was found lying deceased in the middle of the street at the above address. A pickup truck, believed to belong to him and with blood inside, was found abandoned several miles away.
There is no known motive or suspect(s).
